The Palestine Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation organized under the Texas Development Corporation Act of 1979. PEDC was authorized by the Citizens of Palestine in May 1998. The purpose of the Corporation is to assist in the growth and development of the City of Palestine through job creation, capital investment, and retention and attraction of industry. The corporation is governed by a seven member Board of Directors appointed by the Palestine City Council. |
