Pacific Bearing is a worldwide supplier of innovative linear motion solutions. Since the company's founding in 1982, when it introduced the first two-piece bonded Simplicity' linear bearing, it has built a solid reputation for providing innovative application solutions. Through the years the success and continued demand for the Simplicity' self-lubricated linear bearings, has not only allowed the company to gain entrance into new markets, but has also brought about new product introductions. Through the years, the Simplicity' product family has expanded to include thrust and sleeve bearings, die set bushings, square bearings, pillow blocks, and a complete line of European and Japanese metric bearings.
Today, Pacific Bearing's design innovation extends beyond plane bearings. The introduction of their new FrelonGold' bearing liner material in 1998, created the opportunity to introduce Feather Shafting - a new lightweight ceramic coated roundway shafting that is approximately 1/3 the weight of RC65 steel shafting. By combining both Simplicity' and Feather Shafting technologies, Pacific Bearing created Dolphin Guides a simple, cost effective, two-piece linear guide that affords the design engineer integration flexibility.
Redi-Rail was created to meet the industry demand for faster, lighter and quieter linear motion applications. Combining lightweight structural components, precision steel inner raceways, and high-speed roller bearings, Redi-Rail delivers high-speed performance (8 meters/second), with continuous rail lengths available up to 19 feet (6m).
Rounding out the current line is the Hevi-Rail, heavy-duty bearing system. Hevi-Rail is a combination bearing that is capable of addressing both radial and axial loads up to 60 tons. Utilizing a combination bearing eliminates components, reduces installation time, and subsequently lowers costs.
Pacific Bearing is moving ahead with new manufacturing and e-business initiatives designed to increase the flow of information, shorten design times, and improve order efficiency and accuracy.
